Flagler County sheriff website leads to inappropriate websites, deputies say

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies with the Flagler County Sheriff's Office are warning people to be careful which website they click on when searching for the Flagler County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies said a Google search for the sheriff's office Saturday could have led people to inappropriate websites that may include a virus or malicious software.

Jarrod Shupe, who is the Flagler County director of information technology, got in contact with Google to resolve the issue, deputies said.

Deputies said the sheriff’s website has not been hacked and that it appeared to be a Google issue only.

They said the best way to contact the sheriff’s office is

www.Flaglersheriff.com.

The issue appeared to be fixed Sunday.
