FRUITLAND PARK, Fla. - A former Fruitland Park reserve police officer was arrested on child porn charges, said Lake County investigators.

WFTV broke the story earlier this month, when reserve officer Robert Frieszell was fired from the department and lost his volunteer job with the Umatilla High School band.

It was over allegations he had sex with a student, and swapped sexually charged texts with another.

Now Lake County investigators said they found child pornography on Frieszell's laptop computer, and that led to his arrest.

Investigators said Frieszell sent text and Facebook messages to young girls, and that he asked for nude pornographic pictures.

"I think it's disgusting," one student said when told of the arrest. "He was like a trusted person."

Investigators said they began investigating Frieszell when they received a tip.

"That Mr. Frieszell had been carrying on a physical relationship with a student, and had also potentially solicited illicit photographs of minors at the school," said Jim Vachon of the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators said after they obtained a warrant, they searched his laptop where they found 30 child pornography pictures.

"One of the students told us that she had sent him some pictures, so we expected to find something, but we didn't know exactly what he had on there," said Vachon.  "If anybody should have known better, it should have been him.  He did know better."

Investigators said there could be other victims and are urging anyone who knows anything about the case to come forward.

Frieszell is being held in jail on a $150,000 bond.
