Fruitland Park commissioners meet to discuss city manager's future

FRUITLAND PARK, Fla. — Fruitland Park commissioners met Thursday to discuss giving severance pay to the suspended city manager.

The State Attorney’s office is currently reviewing a complaint that Ralph Bower committed sexual battery on a female city employee.

Bowers is still on paid administrative leave, but offered to step down if the city agrees to a severance package.

He wants two-month’s salary, his Christmas bonus and compensation for his unused vacation time.
