Funeral postponed for Orange County deputy killed during search for murder suspect

ORLANDO, Fla. — The funeral planned Friday for Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy First Class Norman Lewis has been postponed due to a family emergency.

His family made the announcement just after 1 a.m. Friday.

Lewis' funeral will now take place Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church.

A viewing will take place Monday in his hometown of Port Charlotte at Murdock Baptist Church from noon to 2 p.m. with a second funeral to take place immediately after.
