• Deputies identify victim in deadly shooting


    ORLANDO, Fla. - Deputies have identified the victim who was killed in a shooting at an apartment complex in Orange County Friday afternoon.

    Officials said Matthew Andujar, 22, was killed in the shooting that happened at the Valencia Forest Apartments on Valencia Village Lane.

    Authorities are still searching for the gunman who opened fire on Andujar around 4:15 p.m. He is described as a Hispanic man standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall. Witnesses said the man fled in a burgundy Chevrolet Blazer.

    According to deputies, a maintenance worker witnessed the shooting and called 911.

    Residents who said they were friends with Andujar told WFTV he grew up in Orlando and was staying at the complex with his girlfriend when he was shot and killed.

    Witnessnes said they heard four to six gunshots. Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities.

    Friday night, armed guards stopped cars entering the apartment complex one by one as deputies and detectives continued to comb the scene.

    Residents said the incident has set them on edge and some said they want to move out of the area.
