Hard Rock Hotel to be built in Daytona Beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Only Eyewitness News got an inside look at what the New Hard Rock Hotel will look like when it's built on Daytona Beach.

Channel 9's Blaine Tolison got a first look at the hotel planned for south Atlantic Avenue.

Some people who live nearby said they aren't happy about the plans and are getting ready to fight the developer.

Residents in Daytona Beach met with representatives Thursday night from the proposed hotel.

The representatvie from Hard Rock, explaining plans for the proposed 250-room hotel that would be built less than a mile from the Daytona Beach pier over the next few years.

Residents are concerned about losing their beach approach and a possible increase in traffic.

Hard Rock Hotel representatives said the design is still being refined, and they will continue working with residents.
