ST. CLOUD, Fla. — A hazmat incident in St. Cloud had shut down East Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway (US-192) at Narcoosee Road Friday, but the road has since reopened, said police.
St. Cloud police said the incident involved a small, leaking propane tank.
The unsealed tank was lying on the side of the road, and police said someone called 911.
"Once they [officials] saw the substance, [they said] 'we cannot be sure what this is, let's call the Orange County Fire Rescue hazmat crew so they can conduct the proper testing and determine if there's any danger to the public,'" said Sandra Ramirez|, City of St. Cloud.
Authorities said there was no danger to the public, and removed the propane tank.
