Head-on crash leaves two dead, including 8-year-old

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Troopers said a head-on crash in Seminole County left two people dead, including an 8-year-old boy, Sunday morning.

The collision happened on State Road 434 in Oviedo around 10 a.m.

Danielle Deuter, 28, was driving a Toyota sedan eastbound on State Road 434 when she crossed over into the westbound lanes for unknown reasons, FHP said. She crashed head-on into a Chrysler sedan driven by 65-year-old Marie Radford.

Radford and one of Deuter's passengers, an 8-year-old boy, were killed in the crash. Troopers said there were two other children in Deuter's vehicle, a 9-year-old and a 6-year-old, who suffered minor injuries.

Deuter was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition. The name of the 8-year-old victim hasn't been released.

FHP said charges are pending and the crash remains under investigation.
