Here’s how much DeSantis raised in his first 24 hours as presidential candidate

ORLANDO, Fla. — We now know how much Gov. Ron DeSantis has as a presidential candidate so far.

ABC has confirmed reports that DeSantis has raised $8.2 million in his first 24 hours as a presidential candidate.

The governor’s team expected to raise between $8 million and $10 million in donations Thursday for his campaign.

His efforts surpass President Joe Biden, who raised $6.3 million during his first 24 hours as a presidential candidate, according to ABC.

DeSantis and his wife, Casey DeSantis, have been meeting with donors Friday and jumping on calls to raise money for the campaign.
