High school student let friend try out stun gun on classmate's arm, investigators say

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — An 18-year-old Lake Minneola high school student is out on bond after investigators said he brought a stun gun to campus Friday.

Investigators said Dallas Blanchard was showing a friend his electronic stun gun in the gymnasium, and even let his friend try it out on another classmate's arm.

Another student recorded the incident and showed it to investigators.

When they searched Blanchard, they also found a three and a half inch knife in his waistband.

Blanchard and the juvenile friend he allowed to try out the weapon were arrested.

The juvenile arrestee was charged with discharging a weapon on school grounds and was turned over to his parents.

Blanchard was charged with two counts of possession of a weapon on school grounds.
