3 suspects arrested in home invasion, bank robbery after crash along I-4

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. - Police have arrested three people in connection to a home invasion following a crash along Interstate 4 near Sanford on Wednesday.

Officials believe their violent crime spree started with a home invasion robbery in DeBary. Luis Manuel Pagan said he was in his garage minding his own business.

"The first guy came in and pointed a gun in my face and told me to give him the car keys," said Pagan.

Pagan did exactly what the masked men said.

"(They) just told me to lie down on the floor face down. He tied the hands behind my back with the cord of the fan and he tied my legs with a telephone wire," said Pagan.

The men shut Pagan inside his garage. Officials said they then went to Orange City and robbed the TD Bank. Authorities said shots were fired inside the bank, but no injuries were reported.

From there, deputies said the men switched cars and drove south. They crashed at the Seminole County line and made a run for it, but K-9 units caught their scent. Officials said one suspect was even bitten.

The three suspects were found hiding in a wooded area.

Police and K-9 units continue to search for a possible weapon in the woods.

Officials said the Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Police are questioning the suspects in the Seminole County Jail.
