Horses from now-closed Arabian Nights attraction to be sold

CLERMONT, Fla. — More than a dozen horses that performed in the now-closed Arabian Nights attraction in Kissimmee are being put up for sale on Saturday.

The company that owned the attraction, Al-Marah Arabians, is holding a sale at its Clermont horse farm on Saturday. A company spokesperson said 16 Arabian Nights horses of various breeds will be up for sale. Prices of the horses range from $2,500 all the way up to $20,000.

The attraction closed on New Year's Eve after 25 years in operation. Nearly 200 workers lost their jobs when the show closed its doors.

In late 2013 the owners told WFTV they had already received four offers for the property, meaning something new could be coming to the spot on U.S. 192.

The horse sale will be held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the horse farm on Autumn Lane in Clermont.
