Hundreds raise funds to battle childhood cancer at 20th annual Reindeer Run

ORLANDO, Fla. — Hundreds of runners helped raise money to fight childhood cancer during the 20th annual Greg Warmoth Reindeer Run at SeaWorld Saturday morning.

The race kicked off at 7:15 a.m.

The proceeds will go to Florida Hospital for Children in an effort to comfort and heal kids like Remy Vyce, who is battling a rare form of cancer.

“It’s amazing to see the community come together for something like this to raise awareness for pediatric cancer,” said Dr. David Shook, who works for Florida Hospital for Children. “We’ve got families here that have benefitted from this in the past so we’re just grateful for the community.”

Runners also donated toys which will also go to kids battling cancer at Florida Hospital.

The run will take place again next year.
