Motorcyclist killed after crashing into back of tractor-trailer

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol Troopers reopened I-4 eastbound in Seminole County, after a deadly crash caused the roadway to shut down early Friday morning.

The crash happened shortly after 2 a.m. in the eastbound lanes, just north of State Road 436 near State Road 434.

FHP said that a motorcyclist, Timothy Lea, 44, was killed after he crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer. Lea was thrown from his motorcycle.

FHP said another driver then hit the crashed motorcycle and his van flipped after trying to avoid the crash.

Troopers said Lea was not wearing a helmet.
