Incident report reveals details about teen suspects in Winter Park 15-year-old's death

Roger Trindade, 15, died after he was beaten in Central Park over the weekend, authorities said.

WINTER PARK, Fla. — An incident report revealed more details about the moments that led up to a Winter Park teenager’s death in Central Park.

The report details criminal charges against three teenagers who were charged in the death of Roger Trindade, 15.

Police said they have two witnesses that saw Trindade’s beating.

Police arrested Jesse Sutherland, 15, Simeon Hall, 15, and Jagger Gouda, 14.

Authorities said Simeon Hall threw the first punch in attack, and allegedly spit on him after he was down.

The report said Sutherland punched Trindade after he was down and knocked him out.

Hall and Sutherland are charged with manslaughter.

Gouda is accused of initiating the sequence of events that led to attack. Investigators said Gouda started the prank and was spraying teenagers with skunk spray, ultimately leading to the fight.

Gouda is also accused of threatening a girl in middle school, and saying that if she mentioned the fight, she would pay. He’s charged with witness tampering.

Sutherland is in Virginia awaiting a potentially lengthy extradition to Central Florida.

"It was a prank. They were just fooling around. They're young kids. I'm sure that everybody can relate to that age. They don't think before they act," said Gouda’s attorney, John Sirounis.

According to the report, the witness Gouda is accused of trying to intimidate was the one who saw Snapchat videos that showed at some of the fight. %

"I still stand by the fact that my client did not do anything directly to cause the death of this child," Sirounis said.

A judge ordered Hall and Gouda to remain in jail until January.

Trindade's family said they hope the charges lead to jail time.

“Every day I’m going to wake up without my boy,” said Roger Trindade’s mother, Adriana Trindade.

The family is still struggling to cope with their loss.

“It’s been hard because, my mom, she can’t sleep. My dad wakes up in the middle of the night,” said the victim’s sister, Laura Koch.

The family moved to Winter Park in January from Brazil.

“Every day when he (woke) up, he came to me and said, ‘Good morning, mommy I love you,’” said Adriana Trindade.
