Investigators find drugs, guns in raid of upscale Winter Garden house

WINTER GARDEN, Fla. — Channel 9 Eyewitness News was there as investigators wrapped up a 5-hour long search warrant on a 4,000-square-foot Winter Garden house Thursday.

Vinh Chung, 34, sat in the back of an Orange County deputy's patrol car while investigators searched his house.

Investigators carried out large manila envelopes that they said contained marijuana, cocaine, and hydrocodone. It was all valued at $35,000-$55,000, according to investigators.

Investigators said a tip from within the gated-community brought them to the house.

"This is a large amount of marijuana. Almost 10 pounds of marijuana in a house is a lot. Obviously it's not for personal use, so it might lead to something else," said Lt. Carlo Espinosa of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

Investigators didn't what else it could lead to.

"Crime really doesn't have a boundary and that's why we need people to help us," said Espinosa.

Investigators also carried out a large number of firearms, including assault rifles, from the home. They wouldn't say how many weapons they found.

"This is a lot for one person who lives here with one person, apparently a female and maybe a child. That's a lot of weapons to have," said Espinosa.

Neighbors told Channel 9's Racquel Asa that two children are among those who live in the house.
