Investigators: Lake Mary H.S. track coach to be fired after porn found on computer

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. — A longtime Seminole County teacher is about to be fired after being accused of having pornography on his work computer.

Willie Pauldo has been a teacher for 15 years and is also the head track coach at Lake Mary High School.

Investigators said he downloaded the porn years ago.

Officials said he's not allowed near the field anytime soon.

On the school's website, Pauldo is still listed as the head boys and girls track coach but is now set to be fired.

District officials said they found explicit adult sexual material on his school computer this summer.

They said he accessed the photos through his personal email. The news came as a shock to parents.

"There's no place for it here. They need to be more professional than that," parent Sally Pascarella said.

But district officials believe the porn had been on his computer for years.

They said he downloaded it in 2004 and 2007 and didn't discover it until they switched out his computer for a new one this summer.

Officials said it violates several school rules, which have no statute of limitations.

Pauldo is a former football star from Oviedo High School and even played a few years at Florida State University.

Pauldo's attorney told Channel 9 that her client is fighting for his job.

She said the explicit images found on the computer were from a virus that was attached to spam emails nine years ago.

The attorney also said she's sending a letter to the school board on Monday and plans to meet with board members in the coming weeks.

Pauldo was not available for comment.
