NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. - Investigators raided a New Smyrna beach home Thursday as part of a push to keep guns off the streets.

The raid is believed to be linked to a recent burglary ring.

WFTV found out deputies are trying to recover stolen property from the home, and it’s likely to include guns tied to a series of burglaries around the city.

Last week, the Sheriff’s Office arrested three people in connection with the burglaries—Kyle Campbell, Mickala Garbarino and Alex Safford.

Deputies said the three are responsible for stealing guns from cars and homes in the area.

During the raid, investigators brought out 24-year-old Andrew Mundell, who they arrested.

A SWAT team had to clear the home, and an armored truck was at the scene.

They were forced to block the entrance to Cedaredge Drive and residents were intially kept away.

Campbell, Garbarino and Safford are facing several counts of grand theft of a firearm.
