ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - Orlando police and Orange County deputies searched a strip club Wednesday, where Markeith Loyd, a man who is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend and an Orlando police officer, used to work.
The owner of Flash Dancers told Channel 9’s Samantha Manning that he allowed the officers to search the club and was happy to help and cooperate in the investigation in the manhunt for Loyd.
Around 10 to 15 officers showed up to the club around 3:00 p.m.
Eyewitness News was told nothing was found.
The owner of the strip club told Eyewitness News that the officers told him they got a tip that Loyd may have been at the club.
The owner said he hasn’t seen or heard from Loyd since around July when he stopped working at the strip club.
Sade Dixon, the ex-girlfriend of Loyd, used to a bartender at the club, the owner said.
Loyd is accused of killing her in December.
Loyd shot and killed Orlando Master Sgt. Debra Clayton Monday in a Walmart parking lot when she went to question him, police said.
