Lockdown lifted at Jones High after nearby police search



Jones High School in Orlando was placed on lockdown because of police activity in the area as school was about to end Friday afternoon.

School was scheduled to end at 2:30 p.m. but police said no one was allowed to leave while the campus was on lockdown.

Around 2:45 p.m. school officials lifted the lockdown.

Police have not said why officers were searching in the area.
