Juveniles arrested after strong-arm carjacking at Aloma restaurant appear in Orange County Court

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Two juveniles arrested in Eatonville after a strong-arm carjacking appeared in Orange County Court Wednesday.

The carjacking was reported at about 7 p.m. Monday in the 400 block of North Semoran Boulevard.

A 26-year-old victim was inside her car in the parking lot of a restaurant when two black males wearing masks forcefully removed her from the vehicle and drove away, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

At about 9:10 p.m., officers with the Eatonville Police Department pulled over the stolen vehicle about 6 miles away in the 500 block of Lime Street, investigators said.

Four individuals in the car were initially detained, but two were released, deputies said.

Joseph Tylus and Sammy Jamar, both 16, face charges of carjacking with a mask and burglary of an occupied conveyance with battery.

Both pleaded not guilty Wednesday.
