Kissimmee police captain demoted following investigation into affair accusations

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - A Kissimmee police captain was demoted when an investigation into how he was spending his work time revealed accusations that he had sex with the wives of two Osceola County deputies.

James Napier was demoted to lieutenant following an internal affairs investigation that found he'd been contacting one woman while on the job.

He admitted to one affair but denied the other.

"A very private matter has been made public and my first priority is to work on my family and attempt to repair what my thoughtless actions have damaged," said Napier.

Napier is a 15-year veteran of the department.
