Missing Kissimmee juvenile found safe, police say

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Kissimmee police were searching for a missing 13-year-old boy.

Police said Marlon Chappell Jr. was waiting for his grandmother to pick him up from New Beginnings Educational Center near West Columbia Avenue and Orange Boulevard at about 12 p.m. Thursday.

Before she got to the campus, Chappell Jr. left the area in an unknown direction, police said.

The 13-year-old suffers from a medical condition that causes him to be developmentally delayed.

By 9 p.m., police said the teenager had been located and was safe. No other details were released.
