Scene cleared at Kissimmee Publix where suspicious package was found

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — The scene where a suspicious package was found outside a Kissimmee Publix Friday has been cleared, officials said.

Police said the suspicious package was a leather case containing a DVR package, a light switch and a temperature control for an air conditioning unit.

Shoppers and personnel were evacuated and the store on John Young Parkway was roped off for several hours.
