LAKE COUNTY, Fla. — Two suspects are behind bars Saturday, following a road rage shooting incident in Leesburg.

According to deputies, both victims were struck in the arm by gunfire. The victims told deputies the bullets just “grazed them,” and refused to go to the hospital.

The victims told deputies they were driving northbound on Radio Road when they were cut off by a 4 door passenger car at the intersection of Radio Road and Shademoor Drive.

Heistand, who was driving the vehicle, honked his horn at the other car. The suspect vehicle began to follow them, speeding up beside them, driving against the flow of traffic, and opened fire on the victims.

According to deputies, the victim stated he then turned his truck into the suspect’s car and rammed it off the road. Deputies located several bullet holes in the driver’s side door of the victim’s truck as well as shell casings along the road.

After canvassing the area, deputies found a white, four-door Toyota passenger car with damage to the front passenger bumper located on Canterbury Drive, which was consistent with both victim’s statements.

Deputies also discovered more shell casings on the ground next to the car and on the trunk, which matched the caliber of shell casings found on the road.

After the victims positively identified the car, deputies surrounded the home and called for the suspects to exit.

Suspect, Robert Moton and his girlfriend Kaitlyn Castleberry, also a suspect, along with her mother complied and came out without incident. All subjects were detained and read the Miranda warning, both subjects waived their rights and wanted to speak.

Deputies questioned both suspects and determined that Castleberry was driving the car and Moton did the shooting from the passenger’s side window. After the mother gave deputies permission to search the home, they located the gun inside the residence.

Both Moton and Castleberry were arrested and are being charged with two counts of attempted felony murder.
