• Lake Mary doctor gets 25 years prison in pill mill case

A Florida doctor was sentenced to 25 years in prison and fined $500,000 for trafficking in oxycodone and morphine.
Attorney General Pam Bondi said the sentence was imposed Monday by a Seminole County judge on Dr. Ronald Lynch. Lynch had previously been convicted of the drug trafficking charges. He worked at Integrative Medicine in Lake Mary.
Bondi said authorities acted on a tip by Walgreens Pharmacy in 2011. Lynch was investigated for writing prescriptions using a revoked Drug Enforcement Administration number. That number had been revoked because the DEA found that Lynch was prescribing excessive narcotic drugs over the Internet to thousands of people around the country.
The court case was handled by Bondi's Office of Statewide Prosecution.
