LAKELAND, Fla. - A central Florida man faces several charges in a car crash that killed three people and seriously injured another.
An affidavit said McCoy's blood-alcohol level was 0.234. Florida's legal limit is 0.08.
It wasn't known Friday whether McCoy had an attorney.
The sheriff's office said McCoy's speeding pickup truck collided in a Lakeland intersection early Sunday with a car carrying four people.
Dorothy Operhall of Mulberry and her common-law husband, Leonard Simmons, died at the scene.
Melinda Helbig of Rochester, Pa., also died at the scene. The sheriff's office said Helbig's husband remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
