Lakeland police chief, commissioners meeting Monday about sex scandal

LAKELAND, Fla. — Lakeland's police chief will meet with city commissioners on Monday to talk about how the police department is moving forward after details of a sex scandal came out.

Investigators said a female civilian employee with the police department claims she engaged in inappropriate sexual behavior with numerous coworkers, including nearly a dozen police officers and at least one firefighter.

No criminal charges have been filed, but several employees have been disciplined and more could be punished for their roles in the scandal.
