DELAND, Fla. - A central Florida attorney wants a DeLand police officer to show up in court to explain why he skipped a traffic hearing after pulling him over for "impolitely" honking his horn.
The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports the attorney then subpoenaed the officer to appear at an April 16 hearing. He didn't show and now Lambert has filed a motion ordering Jusick to explain why he shouldn't be held in contempt for not appearing.
Jusick declined comment to the newspaper.
Lambert says he's seeking justice.
