Leaders gather to improve selling points for central Fla.

ORLANDO, Fla. — The city of Orlando wants people to know it has more to offer than just Walt Disney World and other theme parks.

City and county leaders met Tuesday at the Orange County Convention Center about a new way to sell central Florida.

Tuesday morning's summit was to give community leaders an idea of where the economy stands in the area and to show them the plans in the works to build upon that.

The creators were able to give WFTV some examples of how they want to reach out and let people know that the area offers more than entertainment options.

One of their key targets will be companies that help other businesses scope out cities to relocate to. Mayor Teresa Jacobs said she thinks the area misses a lot of opportunities by not marketing to the people who already come for business.
