Updated:SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. —
Members of the public who want to attend George Zimmerman's trial will have to sign up for a lottery.
There will be only 24 seats available to the general public.
The court will be accepting applications on weekdays from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections Office in Sanford.
Applicants must submit their name in person one day before the court date they'd like to attend.
Names will be drawn randomly and those selected will be notified by phone with instructions on where to pick up their visitor’s pass.
The drawing for passes to the first day of jury selection will occur on Friday, June 7th. Jury selection will begin on Monday, June 10th.
