LPD: Man hospitalized after being shot in stomach outside Leesburg bar

LEESBURG, Fla. — A man is hospitalized in critical condition after being shot in a Leesburg bar parking lot early Saturday, police said.

Officers have not caught or identified the shooter.

Police said a fight inside the Shamrock Bar and Lounge at 1120 W. North Blvd. spilled out into the parking lot around 2:10 a.m. when the 39-year-old man was shot in the stomach.

The shooter fled, police said.

The victim was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center where he underwent surgery. The victim is in critical-but-stable condition and remains at ORMC, police said.
