ST. CLOUD, Fla. — An Orlando man is accused of using his former neighbor’s bank card to pay his insurance, St. Cloud police said.
Erik Guillaury, 24, was arrested for stealing more than $10,000 over a two-year period, police said.
The victim, who wanted us to use his nickname, Kiko, for fear of retribution, told Channel 9’s Cierra Putnam that his ex-wife had been the first to notice that something was wrong. She noticed reoccurring insurance payments on his business account even though the policy had been canceled three years prior.
Kiko told Eyewitness News he thinks Guillaury gained access to his information while hanging out with his old roommate and charged his account.

Kiko said he noticed from October 2014 to June 2015 that more than $3,500 left his bank account to pay off Guillaury's car insurance.
The amount tripled when St. Cloud police investigated and found more than $10,000 stolen over 2 years.
"I thought it was an extra payment that I got to do,” Kiko said.
Kiko said he first filed a complaint with the St. Cloud Police Department in July 2015, but no one was arrested until this month.
In 2015, police first put an officer on the case, but then Detective Carlos Cordero suspended the case after not getting paperwork from the insurance company to press charges.
Cordero was fired in August.
Kiko said things improved when a new detective took over the case this past summer. The detective got the needed documents that led to Guillaury’s arrest, police said.

Bank of America refunded some of the money, but Kiko said he’s still out $10,000.
The bank said it can recover funds when it's notified quickly, but that there’s a limited window during which to get the money back.
