ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - A man accused of trying to kidnap and sexually assault a teenager as she walked from an Orange County high school is in the Orange County Jail Monday night.
The teenage girl told investigators that a man, later identified as Robert Alexandre, 55, pulled up and tried to get her inside his vehicle.
She said when she refused, Alexandre got out of the truck and came after her.
The victim said Alexander was driving in a maroon truck with a campaign sign on it.
According to investigators, her family used that information to help police track Alexandre down.
WFTV learned that Alexandre has posted bond but won't be released until Tuesday because he has to be fitted for a GPS monitor.
