Man drives around Clermont elementary school naked, police say

CLERMONT, Fla. — Clermont police are working to identify a man who they said drove around Cypress Ridge Elementary School without any clothes on.

Officials said the man was spotted Thursday by a school employee when he drove up in a Volkswagen station wagon and stopped at a stop sign at Cedar and 2nd streets.

Police said school was just letting out and parents were arriving to pick up their children.

Police said the employee didn’t see the man’s face, but was able to get enough information for police before the man drove away.

The employee got the vehicle’s tag number, and detectives are working on filing a case with the State Attorney’s Office.

Students did not see the driver and police said he didn’t do anything to the employee.

Even though police have the plate number, they still have to determine who was behind the wheel.

Parents were not notified about the case because the man was never on campus and didn’t interact with children.
