Charges are pending against a man who was involved in a deadly Orange County crash, Florida Highway Patrol investigators said.
The crash was reported at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at East Colonial Drive and Chuluota Road in Christmas, troopers said.
Troopers said a 37-year-old man was driving a 2006 Ford pickup in the southbound lane of Chuluota Road in the right-turn lane.
Karen Metz, 58, made a left turn to head north on Chuluota Road when the pickup driver ran the red light and struck Metz’s vehicle, witnesses said.
Troopers are investigating the crash.
Troopers said they drew blood draw from the pickup driver on suspicion of impairment, possibly drugs.
Charges will be pending until the results of the blood test are available, troopers said.
