Man facing child porn charges compared illicit activity to 'looking at dead bodies'

A 24-year-old man arrested on child pornography charges compared the illicit activity to "looking at dead bodies," police said.

The Daytona Beach News-Journal reports William Wiese told authorities he likes to view child porn to "see something that you are not normally allowed to see."

Wiese was arrested Wednesday on two counts of directing/promoting the sexual performance of a child.

Authorities said Wiese had been under investigation. Police said they obtained a search warrant on Wednesday and found the child porn on his computer.

Wiese remained in the Volusia County Jail on $50,000 bail Friday morning. It is not clear whether he has an attorney.
