ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - An Orange County man out for a walk was ambushed and robbed by two gunmen on Golf Club Parkway in Pine Hills, said deputies.

Investigators said the victim, 61-year-old Julius Amole, obeyed all the gunmen's orders and did not resist, but they fired a shot, grazing his head.

Lt. Paul Hopkins of the Orange County Sheriff's Office said Amole told deputies two young black males approached him on foot. Amole said one had a firearm and they ordered him to lay on the ground, which he did, according to Hopkins.

Amole said the two men stole his cellphone and were skinny, shirtless and wearing dark shorts.

"This person was fully cooperative; laid on the ground put his head to the ground and uncovered his head with his hands, letting them do what they wanted to do, yet they still fired a shot toward his head. That's our big concern," said Hopkins.

Deputies said they searched the area with dogs and a helicopter, but were not able to find the two men.

They believe they had a vehicle waiting nearby.

"These guys showing violence toward cooperative victims, so there's no telling what else they'll do," said Hopkins.

Amole was taken to a local hospital and will be OK, officers said.
