OCALA, Fla. - Residents in Marion County will have an opportunity to discuss living around bears with members of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission on Tuesday.
Officials said the meeting will give residents a chance to offer their input on local issues with black bears. Residents will also hear about the agency's black bear management plan.
The interaction of Florida black bears and people became a high-profile issue following a bear attack that left a Longwood woman seriously injured in December.
Tuesday's meeting will be held at the Howard Middle School cafetorium from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
