MCSO: Man dead after Marion Oaks shooting

MARION OAKS, Fla. — A man is dead after a shooting in Marion Oaks, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies responded to the report of a shooting in the area of Marion Oaks Lane and Southwest 39^th Circle at 2:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, deputies found the body of Leon Roberts, 29.

Detectives are not releasing how Roberts' died at this time.

Detectives are working to develop leads on what led to Roberts’ death.
