Men use victims' credit cards to steal diesel fuel, Palm Bay police say

Two men are accused of using credit/debit cards from at least three women and a man to steal diesel fuel, Palm Bay police said.

Eloy Valdes and Juan Pousa were arrested last Friday.

Police said they received a call about people in an Isuzu truck driving on I-95 North from the Malabar Road exit who were accused of placing skimmers on gas pumps.

Police said once they pulled over the vehicle, they found a MagTeck magnetic stripe reader, a Master Card Walmart gift card, two containers with more than 50 gallons of diesel fuel and hoses and pumps.

Police said they found three separate credit cards belonging to Karen Tarver, Maribel Nieves and Misael Cordero. Police have not been able to contact the possible victims about their information being used, investigators said.

Police believe the suspects used the credit card skimmer at the 7-11 on 5000 Minton Road in Palm Bay after a man complained his credit card was compromised at the gas pump. Police later found a skimmer at the gas pump, investigators said.
