'Minneola Superhero' facing burglary, battery charges, deputies say

MINNEOLA, Fla. — The deaf and autistic man known as “Minneola's Superhero” is facing burglary and battery charges.

Lake County deputies said Raeshorn Pitt, 19, broke into a woman’s car while she was asleep inside and tried to pull her pants down.

Pitt admitted to investigators he was going into the car, but said he only wanted to talk to the woman, deputies said.

Eyewitness News reported in July when the community rallied around Pitt after he was attacked on the side of the street.

Pitt, who is deaf and autistic, is known in the area as “Minneola Superhero” because he dresses as Superman and waves at residents and cars passing by.
