Missing New Mexico 14-year-old could be headed to Orange County

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — A young girl and a suspect in an Amber Alert out of New Mexico could be heading to Orange County, officials said.

Fourteen-year-old Lacey Dewent is believed to be with 25-year-old Robert Butler.

Investigators said they are headed to Orlando or Ocoee.

Reports said Dewent and Butler have had an online relationship for more than a year.

Dewent was last seen on March 31 near her high school getting into a vehicle that matches the description of Butler’s.
