ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. — An armed robber who disguised himself with a monster mask is being sought, said Altamonte Springs police.
They said the robbery victim was walking to her car in the Bona Vista apartment complex around 9:30 a.m. when she was held at gunpoint.
WFTV talked to a woman who witnessed the robbery.
The woman, who did not want to be identified, said she heard a scream, and then looked out of her window.
She told WFTV she saw a monster-masked man pressing a gun against the victim's head.
The woman said he threatened to kill the victim if she moved.
Investigators said the robber took some money, a cellphone, and then jumped complex's the wall.
Police said they used helicopters and K-9 units to hunt for the robber.
Investigators said they pinged the victim's cellphone, but it appeared the robber ditched it near a Publix on State Road 434.
Police said they do not have a good description of the robber, only that he was wearing a Halloween mask.
