SunRail to add third train as ridership increases

ORLANDO, Fla. — Channel 9 has learned SunRail is adding an extra mid-day train as ridership continues to grow.

Officials said 9,761 people rode the train Tuesday, up nearly 1,000 from the day before.

Passengers are allowed to ride SunRail free of charge until mid-May as part of the rail line's debut.

SunRail also announced that Volusia County officials are adding weekday shuttle service to the DeBary station from two parking areas.
