More victims come forward in alleged day care molestation case

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — More victims have come forward who say a 69-year-old Orlando man sexually abused them while they were at unlicensed day cares in Orange County.

Since Channel 9 first reported the story last Friday, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said two more young children have come forward saying they were victims of Enrique Cuebas as well.

The Sheriff’s Office can't release any information on the newest victims, but according to reports they are both under the age of 12.

Just four days after an illegal day care in Orlando got a notice to shut down, it's still operating.

It's just one of three unlicensed day cares Cuebas is linked to, where he allegedly molested young children.

Parents still using the day care said they were surprised to find out about the new charges he faces.

At Cuebas' first appearance Tuesday even the judge had a hard time keeping track of the dozens of charges after some of the original charges were dropped due to a lack of probable cause.

"Oh gosh, you got to do the math on this," said the judge.

Cuebas is accused of using his girlfriend's day cares to force kids to touch him.

Investigators said the abuse goes back as far as 11 years.

Stacey Gonzalez, a mother who uses the day care, said detectives questioned her 4-year-old daughter.

"They were positive she's never met him and he's never been around her," said Gonzalez.

Channel 9 asked the Department of Children and Families why the illegal day care was still operating.

A spokesperson said it's OK for kids from one family to be there, but more kids unrelated to anyone in the house is illegal.

Detectives still aren't sure if all of the victims have come forward.

DCF said it will be doing spot checks on all of the illegal day cares to make sure they comply with the laws.
