VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — State troopers in Volusia County told Channel 9 a mother and child were killed Thursday afternoon in a crash in the Pierson area.
The crash happened on State Road 40 west of State Road 17.
Skywitness 9 HD video showed a dump truck on its side next to the wreckage of another car.
So far, state troopers haven't released the names or ages of the mother and child who were killed or what caused the crash.
