Police search family home of missing mom's ex-fiance

ORLANDO, Fla.,None — Orlando police served a search warrant at the family home of Michelle Parker's ex-fiance Saturday night.

The Orange County home is owned by her ex-fiance's father, Dale Smith Sr., according to property records.

Neighbors told WFTV roughly a dozen SWAT members were could be seen at the home on Rose Boulevard near Texas Avenue Saturday evening. Eyewitnesses say all of the occupants in the home were taken outside and handcuffed.

"They just pulled up in two vehicles... roughly 12 guys jumped out pretty quickly, banged down the door and yelled 'search warrant'," said witness Don Partin.

Neighbors say that Smith Jr.'s father, Dale Smith Sr., was among those put in handcuffs. Two women, a man, and some children were also detained while police searched.

Dale Smith Jr. was once engaged to Michelle Parker, who has been missing since November 17. The two appeared on a taped episode of the People's Court that aired the same day she disappeared. In the episode, Parker and Smith Jr. argued over the cost of her $5,000 engagement ring.

Michelle Parker's mother told WFTV she believes Smith Jr. had nothing to do with her daughter's disappearance.

"He has fully cooperated," said Parker's mother Yvonne Stewart. "They have found absolutely no evidence of any foul play on his part."

Dale Smith Jr.'s home was searched by Orlando police on November 18. Investigators will not say if any evidence related to Parker's disappearnce was found in either of the searches.
