Nearby robbery causes lockdown of Colonial High School

ORLANDO, Fla. — An armed robbery prompted authorities to lock down Colonial High School in Orlando on Wednesday.

Officials said no direct threats were made toward the high school, but they decided to lock down the school as a safety precaution.

The lockdown was lifted a short time later.

There is no word on whether a suspect in the robbery was taken into custody.
