Neighbor's discovery leads to man's arrest on child porn charges

LAKELAND, Fla. — A Lakeland man was arrested after deputies said a neighbor found a cellphone memory card containing child porn images in his trash.
 
Michael Allen Wright, 22, of Lakeland was charged with 15 counts of possession of child pornography.
 
Polk County Sheriff's Office deputies said several bags of Wright's belongings were discarded in front of a residence on Nov. 25.
 
A neighbor asked the homeowner if she could collect the items and was granted permission.
 
A day later, deputies said Wright asked for his belongings back. Most were returned.
 
On Nov. 30, investigators said the neighbor discovered a broken cellphone in one of the bags she had forgotten to return. She placed the phone's memory card in her own phone and discovered the images.
